Grupo Pão de Açúcar’s capital stock of R$ 5.4 billion is represented by 254.5 million shares, of which 99.7 million are common shares (ON) and 154.8 millions are preferred shares (PN). Control is shared by the two main shareholders, Abilio Diniz and the French group Casino through the holding company Wilkes, created in May 2005. At the end of 2008, free float was 37.11% of the total shares issued.
